I still haven't recieved any news concerning orders from the Marine Corps. I'm going to assume the Post-Bar ADOS orders program is a bust for me, especially because I get my bar results this week on Friday. There won't be much use for the program once I am officially eligible to go to TBS and can request temporary orders just like every other newly minted 2nd Lieutenant. I have to admit I've been very frustrated with the process.
My Wife and I are staying with my in-laws. She's having our third baby, it's going to be a girl. Wendy has been trying to potty train Liberty. Valor is growing up fast and is even trying to talk a little more than normal.

New Focus
I've been running pretty darn hard lately. I did a 21 miler last week and have run a little bit this week. Tomorrow I'll get in another 5 mile run with a shorter run this weekend because I've got bar prep. I'm getting more nervous about the end of the semester. I can handle finals, but I'll be honest... the bar exam in February is already starting to freak me out.
I'm also not very happy about this winter running. I really hate running in the winter.

5 Fast Miles and Phenom Kid Runners
Today's treadmill run was done in about 8:09/mile pace. Not much new to report, but I'm happy with my progress. It'd be nice to see how fast I can push the three mile run now that I'm getting this good mileage under my belt.
Yesterday, I read a post on a blog that talked about getting "chicked" (passed by a female). I laughed my butt off because while I don't usually have such a cocky attitude about fast females, I've seen some of them out there, I have always been invariably passed by some phenom of a 4th grader in my bigger races.
I was at a 5k about a year ago, and I was cooking a long at a pretty darn fast pace and as I'm approaching the finishline some little kid passes me. You should have seen my shocked face as he passed me, Wendy (always the calm one) told me to let it go, but... how embarassing.
This same thing happened in my first half marathon. I ran it in 1:48 or something close to that and about midway through, another little kid passes me... You've got to be joking me. I'm just wondering whether or not this has happened to anyone else?

Didn't Feel Like It...
Watching the kids in the morning has totally changed my schedule around. It is so difficult for me to find the motivation to get out the door when it is so darn hot outside. I ran 5 miles on the treadmill at the gym instead, but even that took a lot of tenacity to push myself to get out the door.
Once I was done I felt good. I saw Stewart up at the gym (he's an Officer Candidate in the Marine Corps that I compete with during the physical fitness tests for the Marine Corps). He's doing alright. He'll be a junior in school this next year and is heading back to Seniors next summer. By that time hopefully I'm at TBS.
I can't wait to start my career (and get paid :)) in the Marine Corps. That's why I'm looking forward to the rifle range so much next week. It'll interrupt my running schedule, but I think that is acceptable considering how awesome it is to get out there and shoot with Marines.
